If you are looking for Virtual Private Server (VPS) Service, Yes GoDaddy is good choice, this is not only promotion from me, i use GoDaddy service for a long time and also i use VPS service from GoDaddy especially windows VPS. I use VPS for my online business, FOREX, PTC, etc. VPS have a stable connection and server that always on.
In this occation, i'll show you GoDaddy VPS service with using my account. I have several vps from GoDaddy with different specifications. How to connect to your windows VPS? Connect to VPS using Windows XP We have 2 different standard method to connect to our windows VPS, you can order Plesk one package with your VPS, but i not recommended this way. We must pay more for Plesk but we have full control for your VPS if you have Plesk [this is only if you using your VPS for hosted your web and or something like that]. And 2nd way is using Remote Desktop Connection standard from our Windows OS. See image below:  |
This image is 1st step to connect to our windows VPS trough Windows XP, Click Start-->All Programs-->Accessories-->Communications-->Remote Desktop Connections.
And you'll see windows such images below. Enter your VPS IP Address in the Computer section. Click Option for Advance setting [OPTIONAL], you can set whatever you want such folder/drive sharing, you can set your local drive shown on VPS Computer etc.
Enter your Username and Password to log-in to your VPS Computer. Click "Remember my password" if you wish in the future never ask again the password, system will save your password. Click "OK" wait and see :D .
